We’re Going to Ibiza - Travel Guide 2026

For most people, when you think of Ibiza, you think of the word “party” — images of crowded nightclubs, world-famous DJs, and young clubbers heading out at sunset and not returning to their hotels until breakfast time, before spending the next day recovering by the pool and doing it all over again that evening.

In fairness, this is what Ibiza is famous for, but the island is so much more than just a young person’s paradise. Ibiza truly has something to offer every traveller from across the globe. From secluded beaches and hidden coves to incredible restaurants, historic villages, yoga retreats, boat charters, and family-friendly resorts, the White Island is surprisingly diverse.

The team here at FlexySim can speak with authority because our founders head to the island affectionately known as the “White Island” every year, and we thought it was time to share with everyone “Our Ibiza.”

Getting to Ibiza

Ibiza is the second-largest of Spain’s Balearic Islands, situated in the Mediterranean Sea. Getting there is easy — it’s just a 45-minute flight from Valencia, around one hour from Barcelona, or alternatively a relaxing five-hour ferry ride from mainland Spain.

Ibiza’s main airport is well serviced by airlines from around the world, along with private jet services if you really want to splash out, so getting to Ibiza is rarely a problem.

One thing travellers often overlook before arriving is mobile data coverage and roaming charges. Having reliable internet in Ibiza makes life much easier, whether you’re navigating beach clubs, ordering taxis late at night, or finding hidden restaurants inland. Many visitors now choose to set up a FlexySim Spain eSIM before travelling, allowing instant connectivity as soon as they land in Spain without needing to hunt for a local SIM card at the airport.

Where to Stay

Answering this question is not as easy as it sounds, as it really depends on what you are looking for from your holiday, who you are travelling with, and your overall budget.

Ibiza has many fantastic resort towns, ranging from lively San Antonio, which caters more to younger partygoers, to Santa Eulalia, which is ideal for couples and families, through to Ibiza Old Town itself, with its incredible UNESCO World Heritage Site, Dalt Vila, and close proximity to famous superclubs like Pacha, UNVRS, and Ushuaia.

For regular Ibiza travellers, Santa Eulalia ticks all the boxes, offering a bit of everything. With its central location, it’s a simple transfer from the airport and only a 20-minute taxi ride into Ibiza Old Town and many nearby attractions.

What many people love most about Santa Eulalia is the atmosphere. It’s relaxed without being quiet, lively without being overwhelming, and offers a more authentic side of Ibiza. You’ll find beautiful waterfront restaurants, stylish cocktail bars, family-run cafés, and some of the island’s best beaches just a short walk, or drive away.

Finding accommodation in Santa Eulalia is also quite easy. The town offers everything from small apartments for the budget-conscious to private villas and luxury hotels. If your budget allows, we can recommend both the Melia Ibiza, and the Mongibello in nearby Siesta. Both hotels offer great accommodation, excellent pools, and fantastic service. We can state with authority that the breakfast at the Melia Ibiza is quite something, and will motivate you to get up in the morning.

Food and Drink

Ok, where do we start? There is one thing Ibiza is renowned for, and that is good places to eat and drink.  Rather than a long list of places depending on budget, let's just dive in and list the places that really should be ticked off.

Amante Beach Club in Cala Llonga - For great food, and one of the best views on the island we recommend a long lunch at this popular spot. You will need a taxi or a car, but once you arrive, you will be glad you did. Awesome food, great service, and a view to behold

La Bodega in Ibiza Town - Lively, authentic tapas at great prices. The food is great, the service is lively, and people-watching right in the heart of the old town makes it one of our top recommendations.

Pikes - Near San Antonio - Needs no introduction to this legendary Ibiza hangout. Leave your camera at home and enjoy a night like no other, good food, great nightlife, and no under 27s. FYI Don't just turn up, you must have pre booked, or be on the guest list.

Seventeen Bar / Restaurant - Siesta - An oasis that you would walk right past if you blinked.  Walk through the door to the garden, relax and enjoy a cool cocktail, or mocktail made by Pete, then sit down for well made honest food, and then spend more time enjoying another drink at the bar.

Nikki Beach Club -  S'Argamassa - Nikki Beach club is a little like O Beach's smaller cousin. With decadent surroundings, and Sunday sessions rivaling O Beach on the other side of the island, it is well worth a visit if you want to see the decadent Ibiza.

Bar Toni - Cala Pada - You can be forgiven for thinking that enjoying yourself in Ibiza requires spending a small fortune; if that is the case, then you need to visit Bar Toni.  An honest beach bar with great views, and arguably one of the best burgers on the island.

Exploring the Island

One of the best things about Ibiza is that it’s surprisingly easy to explore. Hiring a car for a few days opens up an entirely different side of the island — one filled with pine forests, traditional whitewashed villages, hidden beaches, and stunning sunset viewpoints.

Some must-visit spots include:

  • Cala Comte for arguably the best sunsets on the island
  • Cala d’Hort for views of the mystical Es Vedrà rock
  • Las Dalias Hippy Market for shopping and live music
  • Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town for history, culture, and amazing restaurants
  • Atlantis, one of Ibiza’s hidden gems for adventurous travellers

If you’re planning to spend your days exploring beaches and your evenings moving between restaurants and clubs, staying connected is essential. Many travellers now rely on a Spain eSIM from FlexySim to avoid expensive roaming fees while still having fast mobile data throughout their trip. FlexySim offers a range of Spain eSIMs depending on your travel needs, anything from a small 3GB plan, to 20GB or unlimited data plans for those who really need to stay in contact & online whilst in Ibiza

Ibiza Is More Than a Party Island

Yes, Ibiza has some of the most famous nightlife in the world, but what surprises most first-time visitors is just how beautiful and relaxing the island can be away from the clubs.

Whether you want luxury beach clubs, wellness retreats, family holidays, boating adventures, or unforgettable sunsets, Ibiza delivers a unique experience that keeps people coming back year after year.

And once you’ve visited, you’ll probably understand exactly why so many people fall in love with the White Island.
